Like duolingo, memrise demands of you to spell words and phrases correctly, but spelling these phrases and words won’t make going to a Spanish speaking country any easier.
Hi, you could try this excellent course (there’s no typing required). I highly recommend it, although I may be extremely biased.

Hi @edwardtarr9385, in case you’re interested I just created another multiple-choice Spanish course, this time based on one of the Memrise official courses.
Each level is included twice: with odd numbered levels testing English → Spanish and even numbered levels testing Spanish → English.
