My app simply won’t open

I’ve recently updated the app and IOS but the app won’t open. I have an iPhone 8.

Please advise?

for me it is the same.
my iOS is 12.4.
it quit immediately after updating

In the attempt to fix this, can you please uninstall the app, restart your device and then reinstall it? This tends to refresh the system and solve the error, as well as ensuring that you have the latest version of the app.

If the issue persists after trying the steps above, can you please contact the Support team via https://memrise.helpshift.com/a/memrise-learn-a-new-language/?contact=1 with the following details :

  • Which device you are using
  • Which OS you are running
  • Which version of Memrise you are using (you can find this information at the bottom of your Settings in the app)
  • Does this happen both on Wifi and mobile data?
    *Do you have any screenshots of the error you receive?

Same happening for me. The splash screen shows, then quickly disappears and that’s it.

I have tried the uninstall - restart - reinstall routine, and it happens on both wifi and mobile data.

I have reinstalled, so it’s the latest version on the app store.

I’m on an iPhone 8, v13.5.1

I have the exact same problem! Started happening today. Already reinstalled three times and restarted my phone twice. Keeps just crashing and crashing. I’m on iPhone 11 Pro v13.5.1.

Same here. It shows me the opening screen then exits out. iphone 11 pro, everything updated. Have also tried uninstalling/turning off/reinstalling…nothing. Was working fine earlier today.

@MemriseSupport - Same here with iPad running iOS version 12.4.7 since updating the app to version 3.1.43 a day ago. Uninstall/re-install makes no difference. I have submitted a bug report as suggested above.

App has crushed during the repetition session. I’ve tried to reinstalling, reloading, etc.; it doesn’t work. The app starts then hides and doesn’t work. IPhone 8, IOS 13.5.1. Memrise version - 3.1.43.

Err, no. Not fixed.

Ive been deleting and reinstalling for the past three days.
Downloading from GooglePlay.
Im using a Meizu mobile (Flyme OS, but essentially Android).

  • Which device you are using
  • Which OS you are running
  • Which version of Memrise you are using
  • What happens when you try to open the app (any videos or screenshots would be very useful here)
