Learning 6 Languages

I’m German and currently learning 6 languages

English
French
Italian
Spanish
Portuguese
Turkish

The main reason is not to learn the languages itself it was initiating to find a method to protect against “Dementia and Alzheimer’s”

I’m running all combinations on languages I have found on Memrise
Currently 101 courses

Additional I studied a lot about learning
One of these results based on the conclusion that the most important stuff to learn a language is to safe the sound and meaning of a word
I also not focus to learn the languages for active speaking
focus on written form
My test is Google News in all languages

to understand a language you need to know the meaning of words
with Memrise I currently run following system

  1. Learning Words and Phrases
  2. One Speed Review
  3. One Classic Review
  4. mark all words as difficult and run One’s and unmark
  5. One Speed Review

than I have 13 day for next run
2. One Speed Review
3. One Classic Review
4. mark all words as difficult and run One’s and unmark
5. One Speed Review

after 97 days last run
2. One Speed Review
3. One Classic Review
4. mark all words as difficult and run One’s and unmark
5. One Speed Review

repeat every 180 days

I know not a common use but it is also a kind of science I’m running
Beside learning languages it has other benefits which have nothing to do with language itself but is improving other stuff in your daily life

I’m using Excel to coordinate all stuff

Wow! I bow down before you for your systematic and scientific approach.
I’m sure, you’re the last person for dementia nominee in the world.

You inspire me to learn German which was intimidating me until now. A job opportunity in Germany has risen recently for me.

I’m a native Turkish speaker, feel free to ask anything about Turkish, Turkey, Turks, politics in Turkey, etc.

I’ll try to rush to B2 level in German. Let’s see, how long it takes.
